Can’t wait for you to post that @Zappos interview. My favorite sentence in this post is definately “It’s a rare occasion that one immediately feels included, wanted and valued in a group situation, where everyone’s voice matters, even an outsider’s voice.”

Maybe I’ll win my own contest, wouldn’t that be cool in a “I don’t have to pay shipping but have to make my own cookies” kind of way?

@andrew, that bookshelf is one of the many in the Zappos office filled with books for guests to take home. You’re lucky I only put one up, I took a photo of every shelf.

@stevegarfield Fluffy cookies! I don’t know what kind of packages your friends are reading but I’m against fluffy cookies. You need to have a serious talk with your friends – when it comes to chocolate chip cookies, there is no room for fluff.

Mmm. Cookies. Many times I tell friends who bring chocolate chip cookies to the house that I love them, and they always say something like, “Oh those, I just made them off the recipe on the package.” I don’t think it’s true because some are flat and some are fluffy. Does adding a little milk make them fluffy?

Mmmmm cookies and books on collaboration. Sounds like a picnic waiting to happen. Of course, the picnic can only happen in my mind in Chicago in January, but you know what, my intention is picnic and even if that happens in my living room while I taunt my children with cookies (I mean share) and read to them very-smart-people books so they can grow up right…well…I’ll be thanking you all the while.
