Second to last paragraph…oh yeah, that sounds like a chapter STRAIGHT from my wife’s book. Ok, so maybe I’m not the only husband who’s gotta hear the wrath of the wife due to miscommunication. After reading this, now I’m extremely interested to see how this gets remedied. I’m hoping it shakes out in a way where I could share with my wife…it’s Ok to make a mistake, just right the wrong.

I’m with you Cole Hug the wife…wait…smile…and say sorry for the mess up and whatever you do, don’t do like I’ve done before and walk in the door going, “WTF was that SH*T about!?” Probably not a good idea (I’m still working on that myself) even though you didn’t do anything wrong.

Life was different then, with different morals. Slavery is nothing new in history, nor did it start in America. White people!!! yes, White people have been slaves. White people were also enslaved in America, just called by a different name, and they were worked to death and thrown out in the woods when they died, like a piece of trash. Read your history!

Better do some more research on the family as well. It looks like another part of the family, the branch in Leesburg, TN, were abolistionist! I take this from a history of the Leesburg TN Presbyterian church records.

It’s tough to get screwed like that. Even without the Internet, there are so many bullshit artists. I worked with some folks once in a startup, that did due diligence on an investor, who was very turned off by the process. In that guy’s background check, we found addresses that did not jive. After months of working with him (before legal agreements) we found he was just a lying, marketing-type guy, who not only spoke well, but knew his stuff. But it was all a lie. It’s so hard to find out that way. And it’s a shame that even when going into business with friends, you need background checks, credit reports, and references. Never stop believing though. There are so many good people out there, who really are honest. But it’s a big world…
